THE WILD WAGONER BY JILSON SETTERS, 1928 REMIX: YOKOLAND, THE WILD WAGONER, 2007 This instrumental track is described by Smith as a ‘frolic tune’, part of a standard volume of American country dance tunes. This playfulness is evident in Yokoland’s picture, with cut-out details, human figures grasping each other and galloping horses. The central figure appears to be an English gentleman on a cobbled courtyard, a reference perhaps to Jilson Setters’ trip to England to perform for George V. Based in Oslo, Yokoland is a graphic design and illustration studio.
